Mike Bonner is a Principal at Compensation Advisory Partners in New York. Since joining CAP in 2013, he has worked with compensation committees and senior management teams to address a wide array of executive and non-employee director compensation issues. His typical projects include incentive plan design, executive and non-employee director compensation benchmarking, and performance measurement. Mike has experience working with both public and private company clients across industries, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, and retail. He also has experience working with companies on executive compensation matters in special situations, including mergers and acquisitions and IPOs.

Mike writes frequently on executive compensation issues. He has co-authored CAP client alerts covering executive compensation trends in the banking and pharmaceutical industries, annual incentive plan goal setting, and gender pay equity. Mike also co-authored the article, “Paying for ‘the Right’ Performance”, which was originally published in Corporate Board Member and featured by the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation.

Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Management with concentrations in Finance and Corporate Reporting and Analysis from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.  He is also a Certified Executive Compensation Professional, as designated by WorldatWork.
