Peter T. Chingos, is the partner emeritus of Compensation Advisory Partners LLC (CAP) and a nationally recognized executive compensation consultant. He has consulted with CEOs, boards of directors, and numerous company managements in all major industries on a wide range of executive compensation and human resources issues. Peter is based in New York.
Prior to founding CAP in 2009, Peter led Mercer’s Executive Compensation Consulting Practice. Peter joined Mercer through the acquisition of KPMG’s Executive Compensation Consulting Practice, where he was the senior partner.
Peter was actively involved in landmark research focusing on the relationships between executive pay and company performance, particularly pay practices in high-performing companies. Peter received WorldatWork’s Keystone Award to recognize his contribution to the compensation profession. He has been a consultant to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Internal Revenue Service on a variety of regulatory issues related to executive compensation. He has also taught executive compensation courses in WorldatWork’s certification program.
Peter has a BA in Psychology from St. Francis College and an MS in Accounting from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
