Joshua Hovden is an Associate at Compensation Advisory Partners (CAP) in New York. Since joining CAP in 2018, he has worked with boards of directors and senior management teams to address a variety of executive, non-employee director, and broad-based compensation issues. Joshua’s work includes benchmarking compensation levels, annual and long-term incentive plan design, pay-for-performance assessments, and the administration of compensation surveys. He has provided compensation consulting advice to both public and private companies across a range of industries, including high technology, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and non-profits.
Joshua has co-authored and done extensive research for CAP’s research reports on executive compensation trends, covering topics such as equity incentive plan design for companies undergoing IPO, CEO Pay Ratio, private company non-employee director compensation, and family business executive compensation.
Joshua holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from Columbia University.
