Joanna Czyzewski is a Partner at Compensation Advisory Partners (CAP) in New York. Since joining CAP in 2014, she has advised boards, compensation committees and senior management teams on executive and director compensation matters for public, private, and non-profit organizations. Her work focuses on developing compensation strategies and programs that support business objectives, attract and retain key talent, and align with shareholder and governance expectations.

Joanna’s expertise includes executive and director compensation strategy, incentive and equity plan design, compensation program risk reviews and compensation-related disclosure. She works across industries, with significant experience in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, consumer staples, financial services, insurance, retail and technology.

Joanna regularly contributes to CAP’s research and thought leadership on executive compensation and corporate governance. She has co-authored articles on emerging proxy season trends, executive compensation considerations for IPOs, and industry-specific compensation practices. She has also been quoted in or had her work featured by leading publications, including Agenda, Fortune, Directors & Boards, and the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance.

Joanna received an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, with concentrations in Strategy and Leadership and Change Management, and a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, with minors in Economics and Business. She is a Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP), as designated by WorldatWork.
