Matt is a Senior Associate at CAP and works on a broad range of executive and board of director compensation matters. Matt has experience working with a range of publicly traded and privately-held companies. Matt has experience in peer group development, benchmarking of compensation levels for senior executives, annual and long-term incentive plan design, pay vs. performance validation and development of non-employee director compensation programs. Recent client assignments include:

  • Developing peer group and compensation programs for organization preparing to spin-off from its parent company
  • Preparing pay vs. performance alignment analyses
  • Benchmarking pay levels for senior executives in an organization with significant management changes
  • Assisting client with various ISS models and analyzing the implications of the results on incentive plan design

Matt has done extensive research for CAP research reports on executive and board compensation trends including CAP 100 Company Research and 2017 Proxy Season – Early Trends. Additionally, Matt co-authored “Activist Investors and Executive Pay” (CAPflash 2016).

Matt graduated cum laude from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management with a Bachelor of Science in Management with concentrations in finance and marketing.
