Partner Melissa Burek will participate in a panel discussion on “Incentive Design Strategy in a Post-TSR World”. Compensation committees want to have their cake and eat it too. Performance-based equity needs to influence and motivate executives, while also delivering a strong pay-for-performance story to shareholders. As TSR awards come under fire, one creative alternative emerging is the hybrid award, which combines a TSR metric with one or more operational or financial targets. The panel will discuss different flavors of hybrid awards and other creative designs that deliver strong line of sight, balance internal and external perspective, and pay-for-performance alignment.
