Even though boards likely saw their time commitments rise throughout 2020, partner Matt Vnuk does not expect boards to make changes to standard pay programs. He predicts that boards looking to refresh or expand their membership may consider revisiting the concept of at-election equity awards, but that on the whole, they are unlikely to make significant changes in 2021 given the uncertainty around the pandemic.
